Hi, I’m David. From a very young age, I understood that spaces are not just inhabited.

My path in architecture began long before my first drawing; it was born from the silent observation of houses in the Pacific Amazon rainforest, while walking through the mountains and plains, and observing how the light entered through a crack in a wood-burning stove.

I am an architect and photographer, founder of Proyecto Vacío, more than an office, it is a space for exploration in search of the possibilities of contemporary architecture, as an act of aesthetic, cultural, and emotional resistance. Our work moves between architecture and image; we seek honest forms, noble materials, and atmospheres that speak of place, memory, and care.

I have worked on housing, commercial, and public space projects, combining intuition with a critical eye on the environment. At the same time, I create visual essays through documentary photography.

I believe in an architecture that breathes, that does not seek to impose itself, but to integrate. And in the image as a tool to think, narrate and move.

Hola soy David, desde muy joven entendí que los espacios no solo se habitan.

Mi camino en la arquitectura comenzó mucho antes de mi primer trazo; nació en la observación silenciosa de las casas en la selva amazónica y pacífica, mientras caminaba a través de las montañas y las llanuras y al observar cómo la luz entraba por una rendija en una cocina de leña.

Soy arquitecto y fotógrafo, fundador de Proyecto Vacío, más que una oficina, es un espacio de exploración en la búsqueda de las posibilidades de la arquitectura contemporánea, como acto de resistencia estética, cultural y emocional. Nuestro trabajo se mueve entre la arquitectura y la imagen, buscamos formas honestas, materiales nobles y atmósferas que hablen de lugar, memoria y cuidado.

He trabajado en proyectos de vivienda, comercio y espacio público, combino la intuición con una mirada crítica sobre el entorno. Paralelamente, construyo ensayos visuales a través de la fotografía documental.

Creo en una arquitectura que respira, que no busca imponerse, sino integrarse. Y en la imagen como herramienta para pensar, narrar y conmover.
